The National Netball Super League will throw off on April 5, 2025 at Hamz Stadium.
It is almost two years since Prisons Netball Club won the women’s Uganda Netball League title on April 29, 2023.
Netball Uganda President Jocelyn Ucanda is excited about the league resuming.
“We all know that netball has been in limbo for some time. We are exciting about the league starting and 20 clubs have confirmed participation,” Ucanda stated.
Before the league took a break in 2023, Prisons beat KCCA 46-41 to win the 2022 National Netball Super League with 38 points.
Prison’s success earned the Prison Warders their fourth title following earlier titles in 2009, 2017 and 2018.
Besides Prisons, NIC has won the National Netball Super League title (22 times) since 1995. Post is the other club that won the title in 1998.
