Hamz Stadium will host the 2025 National Netball League that starts on April 5, 2025.

“We have reached an agreement with Hamz Stadium management to host the 2025 National Netball League,” Netball Uganda president Jocelyn Ucanda stated.

The netball league will utilize the two all-weather multi-purpose courts inside the facility, according to the stadium manager Ashraf Turyatunga.

Turyatunga says up to 7000 fans can comfortably watch a netball game at each section of the stands during the day or at night.

“There are also different dressing rooms for the two courts on top of refreshing points, toilets and security (including CCTV cameras) to monitor what is going on,” Turyatunga said.

“These are all standard courts with an epoxy finishing on which even international games can also be hosted, and with all standard measurements for the different sports disciplines.

“We also have international hoops which are all covered with rubber to prevent injuries,” Turyatunga stated.

Hamz Stadium is unique in its nature with different and unique amenities like cinema halls, an area for indoor games like Table Tennis and Pool, restaurants, cafeterias, VIP boxes, VVIP and executive boxes which can be booked by a group of people on top of ordinary sitting.

The executive boxes come with extra amenities like self-contained lavatories, sofa sets, a conference room and a resting area.
